First Conversion Workflow

Go from your first PDF upload to your first editable and publishable web page.

This walkthrough covers the fastest path from upload to a usable web result.

1. Open the right workspace

  • Use your Team workspace for shared billing, members, and folders.
  • If personal workspaces are enabled, you can also run the same flow there.

2. Create a Folder

  • Go to Folders.
  • Create a new Folder with a clear name.
  • Open the Folder to manage its Files.

3. Upload a PDF File

  • Upload one PDF at a time.
  • Supported input is PDF only.
  • Current max file size is 100 MB per upload.

4. Confirm processing

After selecting the File, FileToWeb shows a processing preview:

  • Estimated pages
  • Estimated token and Credits usage
  • Estimated processing time
  • Your current Credits balance

Confirm to start upload and conversion.

5. Track status and open output

A File moves through statuses:

  • Uploaded: file received
  • Processing: conversion in progress
  • Ready: web output is available
  • Failed: needs retry or reprocess

When status is Ready, open View HTML to access generated Pages.

6. Run an AI workflow

Before final publish, run at least one workflow preset:

  • wcag-page-audit for accessibility checks
  • alt-text-assistant for image descriptions
  • plain-language-compliance-brief for audience variants
  • translate-and-publish for language versions

7. Refine in AI Editor

Once at least one File is Ready, open AI Editor to:

  • Select Folder, File, and Page
  • Make manual and AI-assisted edits
  • Save new Versions and publish the Version you want live
