Thank you.
As part of our, our grant, we need to come and make sure we're reporting to the commission and let you know how the CJC is doing and, um, things that have happened over the past year. Um, I have passed out the, the statistics for January to December of 2025 for you to look at. Um, you can see that we opened 253 cases. And we had 254 interviews last year. This is an increase in our numbers, and I have another paper I'll show you in a minute with that.
The medical exams, we did 19 of those. Some were done, maybe more than 19, that were done in other places as well, but those were done at our center. And our multidisciplinary team, we staffed 399, had 399 staffings. So sometimes a case is staffed and then it's still open for a month or two, so it'll get staffed again as we continue to work on that case. And that's what that number represents.
And with our VOCA money, we were able to provide 429 sessions of counseling to clients that we have seen at the CJC, and we did 93 referrals for therapy from our clients. And then there's a graph there that shows you the children and it's broke down into years. As you see that the number is, we see more last year teenagers from the ages of 11 to 17. Most of our cases were those. It changes year to year.
It's not always that way. I've shown you that before. Also, our ratio of male to female, we had 111 males with 143 females.
And then that bottom part shows you the types of abuse. Our number one case type of abuse was sexual abuse, with physical abuse second, which that is our core anyway. That's- it should be showing that as our core, with all these others, family violence, drug engagement, child endangerment, neglect that we saw as well. And those numbers add up to more than the 254 because or the 253, because sometimes a child is there for more than one allegation. So that's what that is.
And then the bottom shows you the relationship that we're seeing in our county as far as the offender to the child. We see the highest number being the parent was the perpetrator on the child this past year, with another known person coming in second there.
Those are the numbers from our CJC. We've been doing well. Our team's been working well together. We've had some changes within our team a little bit. Some of the DCFS workers have changed.
