And currently, the state chapter through the Attorney General's Office provides training to law enforcement, CPS, to receive forensic interview training. They don't do interviews with CJC unless they have that training. So they provide that to them and we would continue to provide that to them. We would want them trained still. But we, when they're trained, so our MDT does a good job.

I can't say enough about my multidisciplinary team, our law enforcement, our CPS, as they're investigating these cases. But just because they have this training doesn't always reflect in it, right? I mean, we can provide all the training in the world, but if they're not able to continually do this to improve their skill, sometimes that's lacking when they do have to do an interview. So best practice across the nation for years has been to have a forensic interview specialist who does the interviews. They would be getting doing more interviews, giving them more practice.

They would become an expert witness for court. They would be doing trainings with our MDT. They would be doing peer reviews for those who are continuing to do interviews because one person can't do all the interviews. You know, it would be a part-time position that I'm looking for. And there is research showing that this is the best practice for kids and for CJC and for our investigators too that get overwhelmed.

And I think it's sometimes hard to try to balance all of it, but if we could provide that specialist to provide some of those interviews, I think it would really help.

They would also be a trainer to train. And so there's all these things that they would be doing. We are one of 4 counties that don't have one, and the other counties are the smaller counties that these are grand counties. Along, they all have lower case numbers. Our case numbers went up to 250 last year.

So, um, I, I've looked at my budget. I've gotten to where I can trim some and put towards this. I could probably ask my friends board for a couple thousand to put towards it. I, I've really been looking at different ways to be able to make this happen. There's possibility that I could do a VOCA grant to pay for a little bit of it.

Although I don't want to do a vocagram if I don't have to, and I don't know because we're losing the current one we have anyway. Kisi'ipikapri here. But I would- I'm not asking you today. I will come back because I want you to be able to think about it and you'd be able to ask questions of the people you need to ask questions of if you want, you know, maybe other counties that have this. But Would that be something you would consider looking at?
