With the drought issues that we have right now and the issues on the Colorado River, of which we do not have any idea of what Congress is going to do with us there, may not be the time to be putting that more pressure on the water that we have here.
The last figures that I've seen from the snowtail forest, we were at 48% the normal. Commissioner, think about what that's going to do to you.
We- I'm in Pleasant Valley. We're probably going to be okay this year. Next year we might not be. Who knows what our weather's going to be? We need to be planning ahead that we don't overuse our water that we're we can't sustain what we already have.
All culinary water, industrial water, and irrigation water has- is issued a water right from the state of Utah. Have they went to the state and got any change of use of water? Not that we know of. Culinary water has 100% depletion. Industrial water has 100% depletion.
Irrigation water has a 50% depletion. Your depletion rate is set by the Division of Water Rights. 100% means that they don't feel that any of that water is going to make it back into the- into the rivers or into any underground aquifers where irrigation water They figure 50% of it is used by the prop, 50% will be returned, be returned full.
We need to know who's going to own this center and what they are planning on doing. The center needs to be owned and operated by a legal U.S. company and cannot store or sell data to any foreign nation.
Okay, my recommendations to this county commissioners is that you need, uh, have from the entities that are wanting to build this center memorandums of understanding or letters of intent from Johnson Water, from the- I think it's called Green Water from there. Disposal pits, the company providing the natural gas, and the Drummond Lake, of what they may or may not want from Drummond Lake, and that these conditions should be met, reviewed, and made public before this permit goes on.
The entities need to come before the public and present us with their proposal. So that we know what they are doing. We don't have any idea.
Speaker-CSo how can we?
Speaker-AIt's really hard to judge what we need because we don't know what they want from us.
