The termination clause is fairly straightforward. It's just 60 days notice. To the other party, there are automatic renewals if neither side gives notice. Roosevelt had been doing 3-year terms, but as we've been talking with them, uh, suggested that they increase it, uh, to 5 just because it provides more stability for the camp. Um, what we're looking at here in our public defender's office is Michelle has been wanting to add another attorney, um, but hasn't had the caseload really to justify that.

What she's hoping is that by adding these cases from Roosevelt City and then giving some county cases as well, that both the financial contribution from the city and the added cases would justify that attorney to have her office as well. And she's looked closely at the kind of cases says that she could get through for this year if she had to. She would rather hire an attorney sooner rather than later. She says that they can get by through December if necessary, but it is putting her attorneys above the, the level that she would like to have them on their cases. Uh, so that's not something she would want to do long So the initial funding of $78,750, that goes for a 14-month fiscal year, correct?

June 30th. Just make sure I understood that. So, so the amount that will be adjusted based on the computer- the Consumer Price Index is the monthly? Oh, that's right. And that would start July 1st of '27.

It would space that at the $5,625 per month for the first 14 months, and that's where the $7,875 is coming from.

And then he decided that, yeah, with what he's wanting to do, he wasn't even gonna offer to stay. Um, but so Michelle and I both looked at the cases, and I feel like this is right in line where it should be. And we took not just the number of cases into consideration but also the type of cases, because these move a lot faster, don't generally require as much of the attorney's line, because these are all mis- and so I think that this is right in line.
