- 4. Storm sewers and stormwater facilities.
- 5. Sanitation.
- 6. Street trees.
- 7. Fire maintenance, including the maintenance and repair of fire apparatus, equipment, and facilities of the Borough.
D. Additional duties.
- 1. The Director of Public Works shall perform such other duties as are identified in the job description for the position and as may be assigned by the Borough Administrator.
Section 2. Transition of Fire Maintenance Function.
The full integration of the fire maintenance function within the Department of Public Works, including budgetary responsibility therefore, shall commence with the 2027 budget year. During the period from the effective date of this Ordinance through December 31, 2026, the Department of Public Works shall provide administrative support for the fire maintenance function, including reporting, attendance, the issuance of purchase orders, the processing of invoices for payment, and time scheduling, and shall assist operationally as directed by the Borough Administrator.
Section 3. Repealer.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
Section 4. Severability.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.
Section 5. Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication in accordance with law.
