Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville, County of Somerset, State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. 1. The title of Receptionist/Administrative Assistant/Deputy Registrar is hereby created as a full-time (40 hours per week) position of the Borough of Somerville.
2. 2. The job description for the title of Receptionist/Administrative Assistant/Deputy Registrar, remains on file with Human Resources office.
3. 3. The position shall be included within the AFSCME.
4. 4. The Borough Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to AFSCME, the Chief Financial Officer, and Human Resources

Whereas, the County of Somerset has entered into a Uniformed Shared Services Agreement with the Somerville Fire Department (SFD) for the year 2026 regarding the provision of certain services by the SFD to the County for the provision of fire calls at the County facilities located in Somerville Borough; and

Whereas, this Uniformed Shared Services Agreement has been executed for the purpose of the provision of certain services in relation to the fire calls at the County facilities located in Somerville Borough.

Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Director and the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners of Somerset County are hereby authorized to execute the Uniformed Shared Services Agreement with regard to the provision of certain services in relation to the fire calls at the County facilities located in Somerville Borough for the year 2026, prepared by County Counsel, on file with the Clerk of the Board and the Somerville Borough Clerk.

This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.

Whereas, the applicant has requested the return of maintenance guarantee; and

Whereas, in a letter dated August 19, 2026, from Cole & Associates, LLC, the applicant requested the release of the maintenance guarantee $8,312.40 to Joselin Fernandez.
