Whereas, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-11(5) and N.J.A.C. 5:34-7.1 et seq. authorizes contracting units to purchase goods and services through a duly established cooperative pricing system without the necessity of public advertising for bids; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, by the Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville, County of Somerset, State of New Jersey, that the purchase of two (2) new 2026 Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles from Nielsen Ford of Morristown, 170 Ridgedale Avenue, Morristown, New Jersey 07960, in an amount not to exceed $102,785.06, through the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey (ESCNJ) Cooperative Pricing System (Co-Op #65MCESCCPS), Bid No. ESCNJ 23/24-11, is hereby authorized and approved; and be it further
Resolved, that the Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any documents necessary to complete the purchase, and the Chief Financial Officer is authorized to issue payment upon delivery and acceptance of the vehicles and receipt of a proper invoice; and be it further
Resolved, that a certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Chief Financial Officer, the Chief of Police, and Nielsen Ford of Morristown.

Establishing a Seasonal Farmers’ Market Fee of $300 for Fire Safety Type I Inspections for the 2026 Season
Whereas, the Borough of Somerville’s fee schedule does not contemplate seasonal farmers’ markets that operate throughout an entire season; and
Whereas, by Resolution 25-0505-132, adopted May 5, 2025, the Borough Council established a Seasonal Farmers’ Market Fire Safety Type I inspection fee of a flat $300 for the 2025 season, or the per-inspection fee, whichever is less; and
Whereas, the Borough Council wishes to continue that fee structure retroactively for the 2026 farmers’ market season; and
Whereas, the Borough shall further evaluate the fee schedule and amend the existing ordinance to reflect a flat fee of $300 for the entire farmers’ market season, or the per-inspection fee, whichever is less.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, by the Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville, in the County of Somerset, State of New Jersey, that a Seasonal Farmers’ Market Fire Safety Type I inspection fee of $300 for the full 2026 season, or the per-inspection fee, whichever is less, is hereby established, and said fee shall be retroactive to April 1, 2026.
