Be It Resolved by the Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville, County of Somerset, State of New Jersey, that William Snow is hired as a Part-time Project Coordinator at a rate if $25 per hour effective September 9, 2026.

Whereas, the Borough of Somerville maintains a 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan, Plan Number 6501124, through Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (“MetLife”); and

Whereas, the Borough wishes to amend the Plan to provide eligible employees with the voluntary option to make Roth contributions on an after-tax basis while maintaining the existing pre-tax contribution option.

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville, County of Somerset, State of New Jersey, that the Roth Deferral Amendment to the Borough’s 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan is hereby approved, subject to all required State approvals.

Whereas, the Borough of Somerville Police Department has identified a need to replace patrol vehicles in its fleet; and

Whereas, Nielsen Ford of Morristown, 170 Ridgedale Avenue, Morristown, New Jersey 07960, has submitted quotations dated August 24, 2026 (Deal Nos. 17756 and 17757) for two (2) new 2026 Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer) vehicles, Agate in color, VIN 1FM5K8ABXTGA60048 and VIN 1FM5K8ABXTGA60180, at a price of $51,392.53 each, for a total purchase price of $102,785.06; and

Whereas, the vehicles are available for purchase through the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey (ESCNJ) Cooperative Pricing System (Co-Op #65MCESCCPS), Bid No. ESCNJ 23/24-11, a cooperative pricing system in which the Borough of Somerville is a registered participant; and
